Reviews and Ratings
The resort offers stunning gardens and pools, but the rooms lack uniqueness and have thin walls. While the location is perfect for a tranquil getaway in Ubud, some areas could use more loungers by the pool in the mornings.
My stay at Maya was a mix of pleasant surprises and some disappointments. The location offers a unique and authentic experience with breathtaking views, but room soundproofing could be better. The service was top-notch, especially Ada from Food and Beverage, but there were some issues with room location and noise. The dining experience was exceptional with delicious meals, yet there were minor issues with room design and lighting. Overall, Maya offers a decent value for money with a few areas that could be improved.
The service, while responsive to safety concerns, can come across as a little stubborn upon arrival. The location, surrounded by lush gardens and stunning pools, provides a tranquil escape close to the heart of Ubud. Dining experiences can be a bit slow but offer fresh and varied options. Overall, the resort offers a decent value for those seeking a nature-centric retreat.
Staying at the hotel gave me a true luxury villa experience with a private pool surrounded by picturesque rice fields, making me feel like I was in the lap of nature. While the spa facilities were convenient, the room's proximity to staff areas led to some noise disturbances from both staff and other guests passing by.
The hotel rooms need a little upgrading, but had been recently redecorated especially for our return, offering excellent facilities and amazing activities like morning yoga and afternoon nature walks. The service, particularly in food and beverage, was exceptional, with our special occasion during breakfast being celebrated with a small treat, thank you Maya. The location is stunning, perfect for families and couples, overlooking the rainforest, but a bit far from Ubud center with limited shuttle timings. The dining experience was fantastic with a great buffet selection of freshly cooked and tasty meals. Overall, a wonderful stay with a few minor drawbacks.
The hotel offers very nice rooms with gorgeous views of the surrounding jungle and river landscape, spacious and tastefully arranged with all necessary amenities. The service was super nice and friendly, even going the extra mile for a special occasion. The location is close enough to Ubud center to enjoy nature and tranquility, with stunning facilities well-maintained. The dining experience was brilliant with a great variety of tasty options. Overall, a great value for money stay.
My stay at the hotel was fantastic, offering a mix of pros and cons. The rooms were very nice and very comfortable, providing a resort private villa feel with a private pool in a natural setting. The staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. However, the spa treatments were average. The location felt special, like being in a rainforest, but slightly secluded, offering tranquility. The dining experience had its ups and downs. Despite some tasty dishes, improvements could be made.
The hotel offers a spacious and nice property, with comfortable rooms, but neighboring construction noise can be a downside. The service, especially in the evenings, is exceptional with helpful and brilliant staff. The location amongst tropical gardens is amazing, but some areas lack loungers in the sun. Dining options are widely catered and enjoyable, and the facilities are decent, albeit some outdated features.
